The Miracle on Ice: A Historic Upset in Sports

In the winter of 1980, the world was stunned by a miraculous upset in the sport of ice hockey. The United States Olympic hockey team, comprised mainly of college players, achieved the unthinkable by defeating the heavily favored Soviet Union team in what would become known as the Miracle on Ice.
